Narrative:

During the #2 engine start, no 'light off' was observed. I aborted the engine start per the QRH. I remembered seeing an entry on a previous log page regarding 'no light off' with engine selected to 'right.' I repositioned the ignition to 'left' and restarted the engine successfully. I failed to notify maintenance until our destination however. There was no excuse for not contacting maintenance after the initial aborted start. I think that the prior write up was in my mind, and I took the bait and restarted prior to contacting maintenance.
