Narrative:
Maintenance installed an engine gear box support link. A bushing was not xferred from the old link to the new link. I was called out to witness the mount bolt torque. The link was already in place and the missing bushing wasn't visible. To help prevent this from happening, inspection should witness the parts before installation.

Title: A DC10-10 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH AN ENG GEAR BOX SUPPORT LINK INSTALLED WITHOUT THE REQUIRED BUSHING.
Narrative: MAINT INSTALLED AN ENG GEAR BOX SUPPORT LINK. A BUSHING WAS NOT XFERRED FROM THE OLD LINK TO THE NEW LINK. I WAS CALLED OUT TO WITNESS THE MOUNT BOLT TORQUE. THE LINK WAS ALREADY IN PLACE AND THE MISSING BUSHING WASN'T VISIBLE. TO HELP PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING, INSPECTION SHOULD WITNESS THE PARTS BEFORE INSTALLATION.
