Narrative:

During taxi out for flight; left overwing heat fail light illuminated. Stopped taxi and notified dispatch and air carrier maintenance for flight crew placarding after running QRH. During delay; notified by flight attendants of a passenger illness and subsequently returned to gate to meet paramedics. Air carrier line maintenance met aircraft at gate and applied MEL for overwing heat failure. Maintenance logbook filled out appropriately; however; no MEL sticker applied to logbook cover. Noticed omission during flight to air carrier maintenance. Notified air carrier maintenance line maintenance on arrival to correct.
