Narrative:
We were taxiing for takeoff on runway 22L at ord. Runway 22L has 2 hold short lines, one for use when runway 22L is being used for lndgs and the other when it is being used for takeoffs only. I have probably used runway 22L for takeoff over 100 times and have never had to hold for the first hold short line. This time runway 22L was being used for landing though there was no aircraft on final at the time. Just after I crossed over the first hold short line I remembered runway 22L was being used for lndgs also. I stopped immediately but at about that time the tower cleared us for takeoff. Contributing to this mistake was the fact that I had used this runway for takeoff so many times without ever having to hold short and possibly lack of rest. We had a short night with an XA00 wake-up.

Title: PRIOR TO TKOF ON RWY 22R, A B737 PIC ALLOWS HIS ACFT'S NOSE TO EXTEND BEYOND THE FIRST HOLD SHORT LINE FOR THE RWY AT ORD, IL.
Narrative: WE WERE TAXIING FOR TKOF ON RWY 22L AT ORD. RWY 22L HAS 2 HOLD SHORT LINES, ONE FOR USE WHEN RWY 22L IS BEING USED FOR LNDGS AND THE OTHER WHEN IT IS BEING USED FOR TKOFS ONLY. I HAVE PROBABLY USED RWY 22L FOR TKOF OVER 100 TIMES AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO HOLD FOR THE FIRST HOLD SHORT LINE. THIS TIME RWY 22L WAS BEING USED FOR LNDG THOUGH THERE WAS NO ACFT ON FINAL AT THE TIME. JUST AFTER I CROSSED OVER THE FIRST HOLD SHORT LINE I REMEMBERED RWY 22L WAS BEING USED FOR LNDGS ALSO. I STOPPED IMMEDIATELY BUT AT ABOUT THAT TIME THE TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF. CONTRIBUTING TO THIS MISTAKE WAS THE FACT THAT I HAD USED THIS RWY FOR TKOF SO MANY TIMES WITHOUT EVER HAVING TO HOLD SHORT AND POSSIBLY LACK OF REST. WE HAD A SHORT NIGHT WITH AN XA00 WAKE-UP.
