Narrative:

I was returning to treasure coast airpark in my robinson -44 helicopter. I made a normal approach to runway 9, and no traffic was noted visually or by radio. After passing the runway threshold at 400 ft, I continued with a normal rate of descent, with the proposed landing zone being midpoint of the runway. At the point of landing flare, approximately 20 ft of altitude, my left front seat passenger yelled 'look out.' out of the corner of my eye, I saw an atv crossing from left to right, 90 degrees to my path, at a high rate of speed, coming from the north on the main north/south taxiway. I took evasive action to avoid a collision, and performed a quick stop maneuver. The driver of the atv looked to the right, and immediately stopped the forward movement of the vehicle at the center of the runway. The atv driver appeared to be a young male. As a result of my quick stop, there was no impact with the vehicle. With my forward momentum stopped, I hovered while the ATC driver moved from the center of the runway, and exited the runway from the direction it came. I rotated the helicopter 90 degrees to the left, shone my landing light on driver and made sure he was ok. He appeared ok. After he cleared the runway, I continued my aeronautical-taxi to my hangar.

Title: ON LNDG FLARE AT FL37 ARPT, PAX OF AN R55 HELI ALERTS PLT TO IMPENDING CONTACT OF A VEHICLE DRIVER XING THE RWY.

Narrative: I WAS RETURNING TO TREASURE COAST AIRPARK IN MY ROBINSON -44 HELI. I MADE A NORMAL APCH TO RWY 9, AND NO TFC WAS NOTED VISUALLY OR BY RADIO. AFTER PASSING THE RWY THRESHOLD AT 400 FT, I CONTINUED WITH A NORMAL RATE OF DSCNT, WITH THE PROPOSED LNDG ZONE BEING MIDPOINT OF THE RWY. AT THE POINT OF LNDG FLARE, APPROX 20 FT OF ALT, MY L FRONT SEAT PAX YELLED 'LOOK OUT.' OUT OF THE CORNER OF MY EYE, I SAW AN ATV XING FROM L TO R, 90 DEGS TO MY PATH, AT A HIGH RATE OF SPD, COMING FROM THE N ON THE MAIN N/S TXWY. I TOOK EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID A COLLISION, AND PERFORMED A QUICK STOP MANEUVER. THE DRIVER OF THE ATV LOOKED TO THE R, AND IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE FORWARD MOVEMENT OF THE VEHICLE AT THE CTR OF THE RWY. THE ATV DRIVER APPEARED TO BE A YOUNG MALE. AS A RESULT OF MY QUICK STOP, THERE WAS NO IMPACT WITH THE VEHICLE. WITH MY FORWARD MOMENTUM STOPPED, I HOVERED WHILE THE ATC DRIVER MOVED FROM THE CTR OF THE RWY, AND EXITED THE RWY FROM THE DIRECTION IT CAME. I ROTATED THE HELI 90 DEGS TO THE L, SHONE MY LNDG LIGHT ON DRIVER AND MADE SURE HE WAS OK. HE APPEARED OK. AFTER HE CLRED THE RWY, I CONTINUED MY AERO-TAXI TO MY HANGAR.
