Narrative:
We diverted to dulles, due to the captain's failure to properly use the security procedures necessary to enter dca airspace. He accidentally used the procedures from the day before. The diversion and subsequent issues at dulles were all routine. This could have been avoided by a greater level of awareness on the part of the captain or by making it standard practice to make the first officer a part of obtaining the daily 'procedure.'
