Primary Problem | Passenger Human Performance |
Narrative:
Passenger became extremely agitated during seatbelt compliance check. Did not respond when asked if seatbelt was fastened. Had blanket on lap. Belt had several inches of 'slack' to side of belt and did not appear to be fastened. Flight attendant lifted corner of blanket to check security of seatbelt. Passenger yelled 'don't touch me, leave me alone.' 'you are discriminating against me -- I'm not mentally retarded.' attempted to calm passenger and explain I was just checking to be sure belt was fastened because ride was becoming bumpy. Passenger later came to back galley, still very agitated stating she was filing a discrimination report. Other passenger offered their names and phone numbers to flight attendant. Discussed with captain who requested in-flight disturbance report be issued.
