Narrative:
Aircraft is RV8 with 10-360 engine and 2 lightspd electronic ignitions. 2 days previously, aircraft had unacceptable RPM drop on right ignition. Replaced spark plugs and ran engine extensively on ground. Checked ok. Decided to return aircraft to home base -- cxo. On takeoff at approximately 200 ft AGL, I lost power. Engine still running but virtually no thrust. Too late to put it back on runway and too low to turn. Kept aircraft from stalling and continued glide straight ahead. Landed in a cow pasture. No damage to aircraft or property. No injuries.

Title: AN RV8 PLT LOSES PWR AFTER TKOF AND HAS TO LAND STRAIGHT AHEAD IN A FIELD. NO DAMAGE OR INJURIES.
Narrative: ACFT IS RV8 WITH 10-360 ENG AND 2 LIGHTSPD ELECTRONIC IGNITIONS. 2 DAYS PREVIOUSLY, ACFT HAD UNACCEPTABLE RPM DROP ON R IGNITION. REPLACED SPARK PLUGS AND RAN ENG EXTENSIVELY ON GND. CHKED OK. DECIDED TO RETURN ACFT TO HOME BASE -- CXO. ON TKOF AT APPROX 200 FT AGL, I LOST PWR. ENG STILL RUNNING BUT VIRTUALLY NO THRUST. TOO LATE TO PUT IT BACK ON RWY AND TOO LOW TO TURN. KEPT ACFT FROM STALLING AND CONTINUED GLIDE STRAIGHT AHEAD. LANDED IN A COW PASTURE. NO DAMAGE TO ACFT OR PROPERTY. NO INJURIES.
