Narrative:

On takeoff climb out, main cargo smoke detector warning sounded, with one zone light illuminated. Silenced the bell and initiated emergency checklists. Emergency was declared, and main cargo smoke detector warning sounded again. This time with an additional zone light illuminated (total of 2). Emergency return was initiated, emergency fuel dump initiated, and overweight landing accomplished (dump terminated at 1000 ft AGL). Taxied clear of runway, ground crew (fire fighters) found no evidence of fire. Turned aircraft over to maintenance.

Narrative: ON TKOF CLBOUT, MAIN CARGO SMOKE DETECTOR WARNING SOUNDED, WITH ONE ZONE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. SILENCED THE BELL AND INITIATED EMER CHKLISTS. EMER WAS DECLARED, AND MAIN CARGO SMOKE DETECTOR WARNING SOUNDED AGAIN. THIS TIME WITH AN ADDITIONAL ZONE LIGHT ILLUMINATED (TOTAL OF 2). EMER RETURN WAS INITIATED, EMER FUEL DUMP INITIATED, AND OVERWT LNDG ACCOMPLISHED (DUMP TERMINATED AT 1000 FT AGL). TAXIED CLR OF RWY, GND CREW (FIRE FIGHTERS) FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE. TURNED ACFT OVER TO MAINT.
