Narrative:
This was a ferry flight to pick up passenger for a far part 135 flight. Aircraft was parked at dal. Our flight was scheduled to leave dal at XC45 for a passenger pick-up at XE00 at ads. The trip sheet had our arrival at ads shortly after XD00. At approximately XA00 we received a call from flight operations saying the passenger would like to depart at XD00, ah hour early. We hurried to the airport with 2 stops for catering. When we arrived at dal for the ferry flight, we were advised that the passenger would be waiting for us upon our arrival at ads, which would be about XC20. This put the passenger just about 2 hours early for our XE00 departure. We had a ground delay at dal waiting for an IFR clearance and then departed for ads. I was flying this leg. The WX at ads was down to ILS minimums. After landing, I hurried to the FBO. We spotted the marshaler and followed his signals to the parking area. At this time the fuel truck and the passenger limo was in motion towards the aircraft while the aircraft was still moving. I was concentrating on all of the activity surrounding our parking spot and hit a curb with the 2 left main tires. It was decided that the 2 tires should be replaced as a cautionary measure. This doesn't tell the full story. We (the flight crew) had discussed this short turn around time in ads to pick up our passenger. We considered flying to addison the next afternoon after our arrival to give ourselves plenty of time before the passenger arrived for departure back to california. Apparently, once something is on the trip sheet it is carved in stone. We know that our flight operations is constantly concerned about duty time and if we were to fly to ads a day early we would be out of duty if our passenger wanted to leave, for instance, that night, a day early. After landing and entering the FBO area, we could see many people milling around in our parking area. This was my leg. The fuel truck started driving towards where the airplane would be parked. The passenger's limo headed for our parking area. The PNF was busy getting a clearance for our outbound flight. As I pulled into the parking area, I saw a curb outlining an area of grass. I continued ahead and I began to turn left to parallel this curb. Other things diverted my attention. There was a yellow piece of equipment off of the left side of the airplane, forward, that I was concerned about. I was trying to ascertain if our wing would clear it. We were put into a position of having to hurry, but it was our fault for having been put into this position. We could have asked (or demanded) to leave dal for ads the afternoon before and then had a routine departure from ads. We could have made this flight in an unhurried manner and taken things as they come instead of plowing ahead in great haste trying to please the passenger. We could have asked our flight operations why we were scheduled to leave dal so late and then ask if we could leave sooner. At no time was this crew in direct contact with the passenger. Things were happening so fast in the parking area that it was hard to keep track of the vehicles, people, and where we were supposed to park. I felt uneasy about the left turn I was about to make. I wanted to make sure that I was close to the curb so that we had enough distance to straighten the nosewheel on our subsequent right turn toward the marshaler. I even had trouble picking up who the marshaler was among the people. They all seemed to be dressed the same. The lead passenger of the 2 immediately wanted to know why we didn't fly over the afternoon before. I thought that was a good question. Quick turnarounds are usually better planned than this one. We were behind the 8 ball when we left our hotel and stayed throughout the rest of the flight. The president of our aviation company called us both in today and questioned us on the incident. We brought out the facts as I have outlined above. One major change is that the trip sheet is no longer 'gospel.' we are to call our flight operations any time we see a conflict, a situation which will be hard to deal with, or an impossibility and they are to change it. In other words, the pilots now have veto power over anything written on the trip sheet.

Title: A RUSHED G-IV FLT CREW HITS A CURB WITH THEIR L TIRES DURING A CONFUSED PARKING PROC AT ADS, TX.
Narrative: THIS WAS A FERRY FLT TO PICK UP PAX FOR A FAR PART 135 FLT. ACFT WAS PARKED AT DAL. OUR FLT WAS SCHEDULED TO LEAVE DAL AT XC45 FOR A PAX PICK-UP AT XE00 AT ADS. THE TRIP SHEET HAD OUR ARR AT ADS SHORTLY AFTER XD00. AT APPROX XA00 WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM FLT OPS SAYING THE PAX WOULD LIKE TO DEPART AT XD00, AH HR EARLY. WE HURRIED TO THE ARPT WITH 2 STOPS FOR CATERING. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT DAL FOR THE FERRY FLT, WE WERE ADVISED THAT THE PAX WOULD BE WAITING FOR US UPON OUR ARR AT ADS, WHICH WOULD BE ABOUT XC20. THIS PUT THE PAX JUST ABOUT 2 HRS EARLY FOR OUR XE00 DEP. WE HAD A GND DELAY AT DAL WAITING FOR AN IFR CLRNC AND THEN DEPARTED FOR ADS. I WAS FLYING THIS LEG. THE WX AT ADS WAS DOWN TO ILS MINIMUMS. AFTER LNDG, I HURRIED TO THE FBO. WE SPOTTED THE MARSHALER AND FOLLOWED HIS SIGNALS TO THE PARKING AREA. AT THIS TIME THE FUEL TRUCK AND THE PAX LIMO WAS IN MOTION TOWARDS THE ACFT WHILE THE ACFT WAS STILL MOVING. WE COULD HAVE ASKED OUR FLT OPS WHY WE WERE SCHEDULED TO LEAVE DAL SO LATE AND THEN ASK IF WE COULD LEAVE SOONER. AT NO TIME WAS THIS CREW IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE PAX. THINGS WERE HAPPENING SO FAST IN THE PARKING AREA THAT IT WAS HARD TO KEEP TRACK OF THE VEHICLES, PEOPLE, AND WHERE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO PARK. I FELT UNEASY ABOUT THE L TURN I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE. I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT I WAS CLOSE TO THE CURB SO THAT WE HAD ENOUGH DISTANCE TO STRAIGHTEN THE NOSEWHEEL ON OUR SUBSEQUENT R TURN TOWARD THE MARSHALER. I EVEN HAD TROUBLE PICKING UP WHO THE MARSHALER WAS AMONG THE PEOPLE. THEY ALL SEEMED TO BE DRESSED THE SAME. THE LEAD PAX OF THE 2 IMMEDIATELY WANTED TO KNOW WHY WE DIDN'T FLY OVER THE AFTERNOON BEFORE. I THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD QUESTION. QUICK TURNAROUNDS ARE USUALLY BETTER PLANNED THAN THIS ONE. WE WERE BEHIND THE 8 BALL WHEN WE LEFT OUR HOTEL AND STAYED THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE FLT. THE PRESIDENT OF OUR AVIATION COMPANY CALLED US BOTH IN TODAY AND QUESTIONED US ON THE INCIDENT. WE BROUGHT OUT THE FACTS AS I HAVE OUTLINED ABOVE. ONE MAJOR CHANGE IS THAT THE TRIP SHEET IS NO LONGER 'GOSPEL.' WE ARE TO CALL OUR FLT OPS ANY TIME WE SEE A CONFLICT, A SIT WHICH WILL BE HARD TO DEAL WITH, OR AN IMPOSSIBILITY AND THEY ARE TO CHANGE IT. IN OTHER WORDS, THE PLTS NOW HAVE VETO PWR OVER ANYTHING WRITTEN ON THE TRIP SHEET.
