Narrative:
I departed in VFR conditions. My intent was to fly north of atlanta. 30 NM out, I lost all avionics. For some reason ADF and transponder are not part of master switch, but both communications and navs, GPS, RNAV are. The WX started getting worse, so I started going lower to stay VFR and trying to find a place to land and try to figure out what happened to my radios. I finally figured out that it was a loose wire on my avionics master switch. In order to get the radios to work, I had to hold the wire and fly. By that time I was right next to fty, off the end of one of the runways. So I established communication with them and landed and called the tower. I have been flying for 25 yrs and have never had a situation like this happen to me.
