Narrative:

On departure, sdm, climbing at approximately 2000 ft MSL, the right engine was experiencing power fluctuations and then the right engine oil pressure light and annunciator came on. I then performed a precautionary shutdown on the right engine. I was in IMC under an IFR flight plan, talking to socal departure and asked for vectors to the nearest suitable runway which was nzy. Landed safely at nzy. On postflt inspection, I noticed oil on the rear of the engine. Nothing further to report.
