Narrative:

I was completing an mei standardization, all had been going well. We climbed to 6000 ft and performed an engine shutdown as per the checklist. We then tried to restart the engine -- it would not restart. We dialed up the unicom for evb and started a descent single engine to the airport. I violated dab's overlying class C airspace during the descent into the pattern as I was concerned about altitude and safety. We landed the aircraft and cleared the runway with no further incident. Maintenance towed us in and fixed the problem with the aircraft.
