Narrative:

I discovered during unscheduled maintenance during transit from ZZZ, that cessna aircraft had an improper right wing installed. The improper wing was from a 1955 C180. I requested the canadian mechanic to update the logbook to show the new wing for transport. There was no entry in the logbook of a wing change. A wing cuff was installed over 20 yrs ago. I believe that the cuff was installed after the wing change. The aircraft has been in an airworthy state during most of its service life. After I arrived at my final destination in ZZZ2, the plane was grounded until a proper wing was installed.
