Narrative:

At cruise altitude FL240, about halfway to ZZZ, we got an electrical emergency abnormal EICAS caution and 'emergency lights not armed' caution with the switch in the arm position. The flight attendant then informed us the emergency lights came on and she could not get them off. We complied with the aom procedures and restarted the APU. The messages and emergency lights went out with no further action. The electrical page showed all generators on line and sharing the load and batteries pwred as the problem seemed resolved. We continued to ZZZ. About 15 mins later, the messages and emergency lighting came back on again and went out in about 5 seconds with no action on our part. We continued to ZZZ for a normal approach and landing.
