Narrative:
On pushback aircraft was pushed into a plane at the next gate. The planes were tail to tail. The flight crew was unable to see where the strike took place. We were notified by pushback crew of incident. Parking area was very tight. The tug had to make a series of back and forth maneuvers. Accident occurred while pushback crew attempted to reposition plane. The crew asked for an immediate evaluation as to whether there was a fuel leak or some other damage that could have affected the safety of the flight. Flight crew was advised by ramp supervisor and maintenance that there was no danger. The aircraft was towed to the gate without further incident. Supplemental information from acn 621868: we switched aircraft and continued to complete the flight in different aircraft.
