Narrative:
I was performing maintenance on a boeing aircraft. While I was performing a 1000 hour left and right wing lube, I failed to install all safety devices and lock-out-tags as required by company work card X and Y. I also signed for the installation of all safety devices and lock-out-tags per company work card X. When I did not install the safety devices and lock-out-tags, I realized that maintenance of this type is contrary to far's. The installation of the safety devices and lock-out-tags is to prevent the damage of the aircraft and/or equipment and injury to personnel working in this area. Neither of these events happened, as electrical power was not available to activate any of these system. A risk of damage and/or injury was possible although highly improbable, and should not be taken lightly. In the future, I will adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the far's and company policies.

Title: A B757-200, DURING A 1000 HR CHK, AN FAA SAFETY INSPECTOR PAPERWORK AUDIT FOUND A TECHNICIAN SIGNING FOR SAFETY DEVICE INSTALLATIONS THAT WERE NOT INSTALLED AND ANOTHER FOR RETURNING THE AIRPLANE TO NORMAL WITH FLAPS STILL EXTENDED.
Narrative: I WAS PERFORMING MAINT ON A BOEING ACFT. WHILE I WAS PERFORMING A 1000 HR L AND R WING LUBE, I FAILED TO INSTALL ALL SAFETY DEVICES AND LOCK-OUT-TAGS AS REQUIRED BY COMPANY WORK CARD X AND Y. I ALSO SIGNED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ALL SAFETY DEVICES AND LOCK-OUT-TAGS PER COMPANY WORK CARD X. WHEN I DID NOT INSTALL THE SAFETY DEVICES AND LOCK-OUT-TAGS, I REALIZED THAT MAINT OF THIS TYPE IS CONTRARY TO FAR'S. THE INSTALLATION OF THE SAFETY DEVICES AND LOCK-OUT-TAGS IS TO PREVENT THE DAMAGE OF THE ACFT AND/OR EQUIP AND INJURY TO PERSONNEL WORKING IN THIS AREA. NEITHER OF THESE EVENTS HAPPENED, AS ELECTRICAL PWR WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO ACTIVATE ANY OF THESE SYS. A RISK OF DAMAGE AND/OR INJURY WAS POSSIBLE ALTHOUGH HIGHLY IMPROBABLE, AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL ADHERE TO ALL POLICIES AND PROCS AS OUTLINED IN THE FAR'S AND COMPANY POLICIES.
