Narrative:
We were cleared to land runway 21L at dtw. On a 7 mi final we were cleared for the visual approach and cleared to land runway 21R. On short final an aircraft crossed our runway causing the PF to initiate a go around procedure. We executed the go around and circled the airport for a visual approach to runway 21L. Upon our taxi to our company hangar we were ased to call the control tower. We did, and the issue was resolved with the controllers. Factors that I believe contributed to this conflict were the changing of runways at the last min and the aircraft being cleared to cross an active runway and not taing the proper precautions before crossing the runway. I felt that we acted promptly and decisively to avoid an accident.

Title: FLT CREW OF BE30 ON SHORT FINAL TO RWY 21R EXECUTE GAR AT DTW WHEN ACFT TAXIES ACROSS THEIR LNDG RWY.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED TO LAND RWY 21L AT DTW. ON A 7 MI FINAL WE WERE CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH AND CLRED TO LAND RWY 21R. ON SHORT FINAL AN ACFT CROSSED OUR RWY CAUSING THE PF TO INITIATE A GAR PROC. WE EXECUTED THE GAR AND CIRCLED THE ARPT FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 21L. UPON OUR TAXI TO OUR COMPANY HANGAR WE WERE ASED TO CALL THE CTL TWR. WE DID, AND THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED WITH THE CTLRS. FACTORS THAT I BELIEVE CONTRIBUTED TO THIS CONFLICT WERE THE CHANGING OF RWYS AT THE LAST MIN AND THE ACFT BEING CLRED TO CROSS AN ACTIVE RWY AND NOT TAING THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS BEFORE XING THE RWY. I FELT THAT WE ACTED PROMPTLY AND DECISIVELY TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT.
