Fuel tank qualifications expired. Gave clearance to close off fuel tank work. Qualifications expired. Crew chief of several aircraft that night did not rechk qualifications clearance too close. Work done in accordance with maintenance manual and gpm.

Narrative: FUEL TANK QUALIFICATIONS EXPIRED. GAVE CLRNC TO CLOSE OFF FUEL TANK WORK. QUALIFICATIONS EXPIRED. CREW CHIEF OF SEVERAL ACFT THAT NIGHT DID NOT RECHK QUALIFICATIONS CLRNC TOO CLOSE. WORK DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MAINT MANUAL AND GPM.
