Narrative:

Passenger was irrational. Other passenger noted that he was breaking pencils then stabbing pieces of paper on his tray table. He proceeded to walk up and down the aisle with his broken pencils and his 'hannibal book.' he told flight attendant #4 that he was god and that he knew people and that bin laden was great. This terrified passenger and the flight attendant #4 tried to calm him down. He proceeded to the lav behind last row of first class and changed clothes (shirts) a couple of times. He then proceeded up to first class galley, looked at myself then replied he couldn't use the first class lav. He walked back to coach then that's when the other flight attendant coach crew members told me his actions were getting worse. He kept standing up and arguing with the flight attendant #4. It stayed up front in first class and kept the captain involved via phone of detailed information with the #2 flight attendant in the back galley receiving information and reporting it to the cockpit and myself. The captain put the seatbelt sign on so that this passenger would have to stay seated. He continued to get out of his seat then proceeded to the front of the plane quickly towards first class. I chimed the cockpit four times, told the captain he was rushing up to the front, he put the aircraft in 'cabin lockdown' then diverted to ZZZ in approximately 20 min. I allowed one elderly woman to use the lav during the lockdown. She was aware of the situation so I escorted her to and from her seat. The first class flight attendants were unaware of the passenger not allowed to use the restrooms in main cabin on the ground. The flight attendant #2 did not allow passenger to use the lav's at her discretion.

Title: B757-200. THE CAPT LANDED AT THE NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT AFTER AN IRRATIONAL PAX CHALLENGED THE COCKPIT DOOR.

Narrative: PAX WAS IRRATIONAL. OTHER PAX NOTED THAT HE WAS BREAKING PENCILS THEN STABBING PIECES OF PAPER ON HIS TRAY TABLE. HE PROCEEDED TO WALK UP AND DOWN THE AISLE WITH HIS BROKEN PENCILS AND HIS 'HANNIBAL BOOK.' HE TOLD FLT ATTENDANT #4 THAT HE WAS GOD AND THAT HE KNEW PEOPLE AND THAT BIN LADEN WAS GREAT. THIS TERRIFIED PAX AND THE FLT ATTENDANT #4 TRIED TO CALM HIM DOWN. HE PROCEEDED TO THE LAV BEHIND LAST ROW OF FIRST CLASS AND CHANGED CLOTHES (SHIRTS) A COUPLE OF TIMES. HE THEN PROCEEDED UP TO FIRST CLASS GALLEY, LOOKED AT MYSELF THEN REPLIED HE COULDN'T USE THE FIRST CLASS LAV. HE WALKED BACK TO COACH THEN THAT'S WHEN THE OTHER FLT ATTENDANT COACH CREW MEMBERS TOLD ME HIS ACTIONS WERE GETTING WORSE. HE KEPT STANDING UP AND ARGUING WITH THE FLT ATTENDANT #4. IT STAYED UP FRONT IN FIRST CLASS AND KEPT THE CAPT INVOLVED VIA PHONE OF DETAILED INFO WITH THE #2 FLT ATTENDANT IN THE BACK GALLEY RECEIVING INFO AND RPTING IT TO THE COCKPIT AND MYSELF. THE CAPT PUT THE SEATBELT SIGN ON SO THAT THIS PAX WOULD HAVE TO STAY SEATED. HE CONTINUED TO GET OUT OF HIS SEAT THEN PROCEEDED TO THE FRONT OF THE PLANE QUICKLY TOWARDS FIRST CLASS. I CHIMED THE COCKPIT FOUR TIMES, TOLD THE CAPT HE WAS RUSHING UP TO THE FRONT, HE PUT THE ACFT IN 'CABIN LOCKDOWN' THEN DIVERTED TO ZZZ IN APPROX 20 MIN. I ALLOWED ONE ELDERLY WOMAN TO USE THE LAV DURING THE LOCKDOWN. SHE WAS AWARE OF THE SIT SO I ESCORTED HER TO AND FROM HER SEAT. THE FIRST CLASS FLT ATTENDANTS WERE UNAWARE OF THE PAX NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE RESTROOMS IN MAIN CABIN ON THE GND. THE FLT ATTENDANT #2 DID NOT ALLOW PAX TO USE THE LAV'S AT HER DISCRETION.
