Narrative:
While taxiing aircraft into our assigned gate in ZZZ1, an air carrier 1 cabin service truck apparently backed into our moving aircraft. This movement was behind our line of sight. The truck contacted the left wingtip causing damage to both the aircraft and service vehicle. No injuries or deaths occurred from this incident.

Title: WHILE TAXIING TO ITS GATE AN MD88 WINGTIP WAS STRUCK BY A CABIN SVC TRUCK IN REVERSE.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING ACFT INTO OUR ASSIGNED GATE IN ZZZ1, AN ACR 1 CABIN SVC TRUCK APPARENTLY BACKED INTO OUR MOVING ACFT. THIS MOVEMENT WAS BEHIND OUR LINE OF SIGHT. THE TRUCK CONTACTED THE L WINGTIP CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH THE ACFT AND SVC VEHICLE. NO INJURIES OR DEATHS OCCURRED FROM THIS INCIDENT.
