Narrative:

Upon review of the flight paperwork, we found the flight release to contain MEL 33-2C, forward galley lower work light inoperative. Unfortunately, the write-up on logbook page entered on oct/mon/04 was deferred in the block for corrective action as MEL #32-2C, as was the yellow release placard on the front of the logbook cover. The problem being that MEL section 32 refers to landing gear, not interior lights and there is no MEL 32-2C. The discrepancy was entered in the log sometime on oct/mon/04 and flew all day on tuesday with the incorrect signoff. We flew the aircraft on tuesday to san.
