Narrative:
Cleared to taxi via A7, taxiway a, runway 18L zbaa for takeoff. Avoiding adverse thrust, we were moving very slowly on A7, turning through 070-080 degrees when a foreign airline's aircraft (twin engine, don't remember noting type as it was dark) came by at a fairly high speed. First officer and I both saw aircraft at same time, and I came to an immediate stop. I feel another 10-20 ft would have put us in conflict. Ground control said nothing to us that we understood, although first officer said she heard something about left, then right being said. Nothing was said by ATC afterward and we proceeded to runway 18L for our departure. Remainder of flight uneventful.

Title: NEAR GND COLLISION DURING A NIGHT OP BTWN A TAXIING B777 AND AN UNIDENTED ACR ACFT XING 20 FT AWAY AT ZBAA.
Narrative: CLRED TO TAXI VIA A7, TXWY A, RWY 18L ZBAA FOR TKOF. AVOIDING ADVERSE THRUST, WE WERE MOVING VERY SLOWLY ON A7, TURNING THROUGH 070-080 DEGS WHEN A FOREIGN AIRLINE'S ACFT (TWIN ENG, DON'T REMEMBER NOTING TYPE AS IT WAS DARK) CAME BY AT A FAIRLY HIGH SPD. FO AND I BOTH SAW ACFT AT SAME TIME, AND I CAME TO AN IMMEDIATE STOP. I FEEL ANOTHER 10-20 FT WOULD HAVE PUT US IN CONFLICT. GND CTL SAID NOTHING TO US THAT WE UNDERSTOOD, ALTHOUGH FO SAID SHE HEARD SOMETHING ABOUT L, THEN R BEING SAID. NOTHING WAS SAID BY ATC AFTERWARD AND WE PROCEEDED TO RWY 18L FOR OUR DEP. REMAINDER OF FLT UNEVENTFUL.
