Narrative:
On nov/fri/04, aircraft X in ZZZ was assigned a periodic service inspection. However, service inspection dependability check was accomplished. Upon entering the workload for today's assigned inspections, the check that came up on the computer was a 'done' -- I entered 'Y' for yes. I simply did not catch the fact that the previous shift had issued the wrong inspection paperwork.

Title: AN MD80 OVERNIGHT LAYOVER HAD A PERIODIC CHK ASSIGNED, BUT LEAD TECHNICIAN ISSUED WRONG INSPECTION JOB CARDS.
Narrative: ON NOV/FRI/04, ACFT X IN ZZZ WAS ASSIGNED A PERIODIC SVC INSPECTION. HOWEVER, SVC INSPECTION DEPENDABILITY CHK WAS ACCOMPLISHED. UPON ENTERING THE WORKLOAD FOR TODAY'S ASSIGNED INSPECTIONS, THE CHK THAT CAME UP ON THE COMPUTER WAS A 'DONE' -- I ENTERED 'Y' FOR YES. I SIMPLY DID NOT CATCH THE FACT THAT THE PREVIOUS SHIFT HAD ISSUED THE WRONG INSPECTION PAPERWORK.
