Narrative:
Arrived at work feeling sick. Instead of requesting sick leave; opted to hang in there to see if it would pass. Almost had a deviation by not handing off aircraft to approach. Made a call close to boundary to get handoff accepted. Went against my golden rule of not working when not at optimum health. Could have caused a problem.

Title: ZFW CTLR CHRONICLES NEAR OPDEV BECAUSE OF FEELING ILL.
Narrative: ARRIVED AT WORK FEELING SICK. INSTEAD OF REQUESTING SICK LEAVE; OPTED TO HANG IN THERE TO SEE IF IT WOULD PASS. ALMOST HAD A DEV BY NOT HANDING OFF ACFT TO APCH. MADE A CALL CLOSE TO BOUNDARY TO GET HDOF ACCEPTED. WENT AGAINST MY GOLDEN RULE OF NOT WORKING WHEN NOT AT OPTIMUM HEALTH. COULD HAVE CAUSED A PROB.
