Narrative:
I accomplished MEL 25-24 on aircraft X. Step 2 of the maintenance portion of the MEL states lock recline mechanism in the upright position. There is no other instruction as to how this is accomplished; so I accomplished this by disengaging the cable which locks the locking mechanism. State instructions in the MEL as to how to lock the locking mechanism.

Title: AN EMB145 WAS RELEASED FOR SVC WITH A PAX SEAT LOCKED UPRIGHT PER THE MEL. MEL HAD NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PROC TO LOCK THE SEAT UPRIGHT.
Narrative: I ACCOMPLISHED MEL 25-24 ON ACFT X. STEP 2 OF THE MAINT PORTION OF THE MEL STATES LOCK RECLINE MECHANISM IN THE UPRIGHT POS. THERE IS NO OTHER INSTRUCTION AS TO HOW THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED; SO I ACCOMPLISHED THIS BY DISENGAGING THE CABLE WHICH LOCKS THE LOCKING MECHANISM. STATE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE MEL AS TO HOW TO LOCK THE LOCKING MECHANISM.
