Narrative:
Upon landing; the landing gear was not down and locked. Aircraft skidded to a halt on the runway. No injury. No airport damage. Aircraft undercarriage (landing gear doors) were scraped; propellers bent. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated there was no warning; visual or aural; of the gear situation until the propellers struck the runway. The flaps were immediately retracted and the passenger and pilot evacuate/evacuationed the airplane. When the aircraft was raised to move it off the runway; it was noted the nose landing gear downlock had failed and the main gear was partially retracted. The cause of the incident is unknown as no troubleshooting has begun as the insurance company is involved.
