Narrative:
While on a visual approach into runway 12 at bzn; we were on a left base leg joining a 5 mi final approach for runway 12. As we were descending for landing; I noticed traffic on our TCAS; and about that time; received a traffic alert from the TCAS unit. I mentioned the traffic to the tower clear who had already cleared us to land. The controller asked the aircraft in question to state her position from the field. She seemed as if she was not sure about her position. The controller at that point asks her to confirm that she was not on the approach corridor to runway 12 at bzn. She never answered the question which was asked of her; at least 3 times. She finally stated that she was going to proceed east of the field to get out of everybody's way. About that time we received an RA from our TCAS commanding us to climb. The first officer was flying at the time. I called for him to climb and to go around; which we did. The aircraft in question appeared to be a light high wing aircraft which was tracking right along the extended centerline of the approach corridor to runway 12.

Title: FLT CREW OF BE40 EXPERIENCE TCAS RA WITH SMA ON APCH TO RWY 12 AT BZN.
Narrative: WHILE ON A VISUAL APCH INTO RWY 12 AT BZN; WE WERE ON A L BASE LEG JOINING A 5 MI FINAL APCH FOR RWY 12. AS WE WERE DSNDING FOR LNDG; I NOTICED TFC ON OUR TCAS; AND ABOUT THAT TIME; RECEIVED A TFC ALERT FROM THE TCAS UNIT. I MENTIONED THE TFC TO THE TWR CLR WHO HAD ALREADY CLRED US TO LAND. THE CTLR ASKED THE ACFT IN QUESTION TO STATE HER POS FROM THE FIELD. SHE SEEMED AS IF SHE WAS NOT SURE ABOUT HER POS. THE CTLR AT THAT POINT ASKS HER TO CONFIRM THAT SHE WAS NOT ON THE APCH CORRIDOR TO RWY 12 AT BZN. SHE NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION WHICH WAS ASKED OF HER; AT LEAST 3 TIMES. SHE FINALLY STATED THAT SHE WAS GOING TO PROCEED E OF THE FIELD TO GET OUT OF EVERYBODY'S WAY. ABOUT THAT TIME WE RECEIVED AN RA FROM OUR TCAS COMMANDING US TO CLB. THE FO WAS FLYING AT THE TIME. I CALLED FOR HIM TO CLB AND TO GO AROUND; WHICH WE DID. THE ACFT IN QUESTION APPEARED TO BE A LIGHT HIGH WING ACFT WHICH WAS TRACKING RIGHT ALONG THE EXTENDED CTRLINE OF THE APCH CORRIDOR TO RWY 12.
