Narrative:
During preflight we planned an east side departure. On taxi out we were assigned a west side runway at dfw. I reloaded the runway and departure. Doing so I must have miss loaded the transition. I closed the discontinuity in the flight plan and didnT notice that it went from grabe intersection to eos. The plan should have had the okm trans. We got to cruise altitude and were looking at the next waypoint after grabe and it didn't coincide with our plan. Approximately the same time center called and cleared us direct to okm. I realized how I had caused the navigation miss load. Center said he saw us drift slightly right and that there was no problem. Remainder of the flight was uneventful. Cause of problem was miss load of FMS; not rechking load; passing waypoint before checking next waypoint. First officer was also busy during taxi out and we should have slowed down and taken time to re-verify the departure past the runway and first turning fixes. Won't let this happen again.

Title: FLT CREW OF MD80 FAIL TO PROGRAM THE TRANSITION ON GRABE RNAV SID FROM DFW.
Narrative: DURING PREFLT WE PLANNED AN E SIDE DEP. ON TAXI OUT WE WERE ASSIGNED A W SIDE RWY AT DFW. I RELOADED THE RWY AND DEP. DOING SO I MUST HAVE MISS LOADED THE TRANSITION. I CLOSED THE DISCONTINUITY IN THE FLT PLAN AND DIDNT NOTICE THAT IT WENT FROM GRABE INTXN TO EOS. THE PLAN SHOULD HAVE HAD THE OKM TRANS. WE GOT TO CRUISE ALT AND WERE LOOKING AT THE NEXT WAYPOINT AFTER GRABE AND IT DIDN'T COINCIDE WITH OUR PLAN. APPROX THE SAME TIME CTR CALLED AND CLRED US DIRECT TO OKM. I REALIZED HOW I HAD CAUSED THE NAV MISS LOAD. CTR SAID HE SAW US DRIFT SLIGHTLY R AND THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. REMAINDER OF THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL. CAUSE OF PROBLEM WAS MISS LOAD OF FMS; NOT RECHKING LOAD; PASSING WAYPOINT BEFORE CHKING NEXT WAYPOINT. FO WAS ALSO BUSY DURING TAXI OUT AND WE SHOULD HAVE SLOWED DOWN AND TAKEN TIME TO RE-VERIFY THE DEP PAST THE RWY AND FIRST TURNING FIXES. WON'T LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN.
