Narrative:
After arriving in ZZZ1; maintenance did a maintenance walkaround for our jet and discovered significant damage around the aft cargo door frame. After conferring with engineering; aircraft was taken OTS and flight abc was canceled. No damage was noted by the first officer on his walkaround in ZZZ. He did the walkaround prior to ground support personnel loading the aircraft. I suspect the damage occurred in ZZZ and was the result of a belt loader striking the aircraft. No pressurization problems were noted during flight (FL390).
