Narrative:
We were given CLARE2 departure runway 17R out of dfw. Performed all procedures prior to departure (route check; leg check; and quick align at end of runway 17R). After takeoff; engaged LNAV and aircraft performed as expected. After poten; aircraft started turn towards swb. Tekbe had somehow been dropped from route. ATC immediately noticed our turn and asked if we were going to tekbe. We corrected back without incident. ATC even said tekbe seemed to be frequently dropped from the SID.
