Narrative:

On may/sat/06 I was instructed to change a l-hand nose gear tire on a B757 aircraft. I changed the tire per maintenance manual specifications. The same day this plane returned to the airport on an inbound flight with a wheel bearing failure. The preliminary investigation revealed the l-hand nose tire axle washer was not installed. To the best of my knowledge; I installed this washer; but it is possible that it got left out. The aircraft went down for maintenance and returned to service the next day.
