Narrative:
Aircraft APU inoperative. No ground air available. Placed crew bags on aircraft and before departing for operations; flight attendant asked if they could open the doors to get some outside air because aircraft cabin was hot. I said yes; of course. Upon walking back to the aircraft from operations (outside) I observed that the slide at door 1R was deployed and inflated. Purser informed me that a flight attendant opened the door and the slide deployed.
