Narrative:
I was the PF when we got turned in early off the tandy arrival. I leveled at 6000 ft and maintained 250 KTS because there was a 20 mi final and we were still 20 or so mi from the IAF. Socal came on and asked our airspeed and we responded 250 KTS. Socal then called another aircraft on frequency ahead of us and started explaining to him that he; the other aircraft; was below class B airspace below 7000 ft MSL. We immediately realized we were also and slowed to 200 KTS without comment from the controller or further incidence. We should have briefed the early turn as mentioned off of the tandy arrival. However; it is a busy time in the approach into sna with high density traffic and it would help if socal could give a heads up instead of sharp shooting. I know this has been a systemic problem in this area with all airlines. It is hard to fix the class B and deal with high density traffic. It would help if ATC could help out.
