Narrative:
My friend and I were building multi-engine time. We departed from stc; executing practice instrument apches at stc. We then decided to fly to nearby maple lake airport. He made 2 takeoffs and lndgs to a full stop; then allowed me the controls. Upon my landing; the landing gear was left retracted. We came to a screeching halt and noticed smoke in the cockpit. We immediately shut the fuel off and exited the airplane.
