Narrative:
I made a balancing entry in the computer for the flight crew maintenance report run for PIREP; however; I failed to make a balancing entry in the logbook for that item. I allowed myself to be distraction with other tasks; answering questions; etc; instead of staying on task. In the future; to prevent this; I will start and finish the logbook before doing other tasks.
