Narrative:
On takeoff roll; noticed the left engine bleed EICAS message; followed by the pack off light message and light on overhead. After clean-up read the QRH and performed the procedure. Tried to reset with the pack on and off. Could not reset. Declared an emergency and returned to ZZZ. We landed overweight at 200 ft per min on touchdown; soft landing. No further incident.

Title: B757-200 CREW GETS L ENG BLEED TRIP DURING TAKE OFF AND AFTER ATTEMPTS TO RESET FAIL; THEY RETURN FOR AN OVER WEIGHT LANDING.
Narrative: ON TKOF ROLL; NOTICED THE L ENG BLEED EICAS MESSAGE; FOLLOWED BY THE PACK OFF LIGHT MESSAGE AND LIGHT ON OVERHEAD. AFTER CLEAN-UP READ THE QRH AND PERFORMED THE PROC. TRIED TO RESET WITH THE PACK ON AND OFF. COULD NOT RESET. DECLARED AN EMER AND RETURNED TO ZZZ. WE LANDED OVERWT AT 200 FT PER MIN ON TOUCHDOWN; SOFT LNDG. NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
