Narrative:
Pilot reported his #1 VOR would not reset. Per fim manual tested #1 VOR receiver it showed failed; called maintenance control to MEL this item. Due to communication confusion; the wrong MEL code was issued to me. Supplemental information from acn 725004: the flight then departed with no questions raised from anyone about the MEL. After the flight arrived; received a call from maintenance as to MEL applied for the #1 VOR/localizer receiver. Tech had asked for marker beacon MEL.
