Narrative:
After landing; brakes were applied. Airplane sharply skidded to right and left as I tried to correct. Aircraft left the runway; and it was now going straight. Since it was going straight; I decided to let it continue off the runway. I started to apply brakes as I could; to bring the aircraft to a stop. Left wing struck a stake covered by a pvc pipe. After aircraft stopped; we taxied back to the taxiway and parked.
