Narrative:
Reporter is a retired airline pilot; also; a retired fighter pilot. I have been crew on DC10-10/30AC. I was never in distress during this encounter or feared the outcome; however; takeoff west ZZZ1; at a right turn to overfly flying west ap en route to an area southwest; never intending to climb above 1500 ft. Saw a C17 in traffic at wri. Looked again and saw a KC10 approximately 2000 ft heading west. I turned left to look out my skylite and then jinked right to pass under him. Right wingtip to left (his) he turned south with me on his left wing. He pulled away. I saw no flaps extended. About abeam red lion ap he turned west and then continued into a right 180 degree turn and now he's boresighted me again. I turned to face him so I could keep him in sight and dropped to 1200 ft. He overflew me again. Headed toward wri with flaps extended and recycling the landing gear; down; up; down. I never encountered his jet wash or vortices. Return and landing uneventful. My aircraft is white with orange trim; a high wing tail dragger.
