Narrative:

Overworked 1 person doing all tasks and holding short runway 23R an air carrier Y flight pull in front of us in a very tight proximity to our aircraft. Tower then cleared us for takeoff and were unable due to the location of the other aircraft. Tower controller then canceled our clearance and we waited. Very little control is present at rdu at XA00 with numerous aircraft departing similar to lexington; ky.

Narrative: OVERWORKED 1 PERSON DOING ALL TASKS AND HOLDING SHORT RWY 23R AN ACR Y FLT PULL IN FRONT OF US IN A VERY TIGHT PROX TO OUR ACFT. TWR THEN CLRED US FOR TKOF AND WERE UNABLE DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE OTHER ACFT. TWR CTLR THEN CANCELED OUR CLRNC AND WE WAITED. VERY LITTLE CTL IS PRESENT AT RDU AT XA00 WITH NUMEROUS ACFT DEPARTING SIMILAR TO LEXINGTON; KY.
