Narrative:
I (captain) initiated takeoff with all indications normal until 80 KT call. At that point I verified the airspeed indication on my pfd; and found it pegged at the bottom of the scale on 0 KTS airspeed. I stated 'no airspeed;' and initiated a rejected takeoff. Airspeed topped out at 90 KTS before deceleration began with maximum automatic-brakes working as advertised. Exited runway and returned to blocks. Maintenance cleaned a fairly large bug out of the captain's system pitot tube and verified the pitot; plumbing; and associated air data computer were working properly. I do not know if pitot covers were used as the aircraft sat at the gateway all day. They may have been; however; there was no logbook entry indicating covers being installed or removed.
