Narrative:
Shortly after takeoff I could hear 'fire; left engine.' the captain let us know we were going back and would land in 5 mins. I could tell after the 5 mins we were circling but did not know why at the time. The captain said we would land shortly and did not expect to have an emergency evacuate/evacuation but to be prepared.
