Narrative:
A flight of 5 on initial to runway 22 at szp at 1500 ft made left break 5 second interval for landing. Upon all aircraft on downwind; dash 4 called high wing aircraft between 3 and 4; say intentions. High wing responded 'I'll continue downwind and allow your flight to land.' as flight lead; all radio calls for position were reported and no response was heard from any aircraft. In addition; after debriefing the flight; all pilots and 2 pilots in rear seats confirmed that no one knew the plane was in the pattern; all flight members were monitoring CTAF. Telephone calls with pilot of high wing stated that we had no right to fly formation at his airport; and said it was not his job to deconflict any aircraft not in his pattern.
