Narrative:
Air carrier Y climbing off cmh was cleared to FL270. Air carrier X; inbound to cvg; was at FL280. Air carrier X was descended to FL260 to avoid other aircraft; but air carrier Y was overlooked. When conflict alert was activated; air carrier X was stopped at FL270; but I was unable to stop air carrier Y at FL260.

Title: ZID CTLR EXPERIENCED OPERROR AT FL260 WHEN OVERLOOKING CONFLICTING TFC DURING A CLIMBING AND DESCENDING OPS.
Narrative: ACR Y CLBING OFF CMH WAS CLRED TO FL270. ACR X; INBOUND TO CVG; WAS AT FL280. ACR X WAS DSNDED TO FL260 TO AVOID OTHER ACFT; BUT ACR Y WAS OVERLOOKED. WHEN CONFLICT ALERT WAS ACTIVATED; ACR X WAS STOPPED AT FL270; BUT I WAS UNABLE TO STOP ACR Y AT FL260.
