Narrative:
On climb out ZZZZ the left engine generator tripped off line. We ran the QRH for generator off and tried to reset the generator. It did not reset. As per QRH we tried to start the APU but were unsuccessful. Per QRH we proceeded to nearest suitable airport (mjb) and landed.

Title: B757 CAPT REPORTS GENERATOR FAILURE PASSING FL180 DURING CLIMB. GEN WILL NOT RESET AND APU WILL NOT START. FLT DIVERTS.
