Narrative:
Today I became aware that I departed lga on a flight to ZZZ. The departure has a single engine departure that requires DME fix from the lga VOR for a turn. The VOR was out of service this day and both myself and the first officer missed it in the NOTAMS and if it was on the ATIS we missed it there also. This was an unintentional error. I was made aware of this by a call from the chief pilots office asking for a report. I really can't recall any particulars of that day. I am sure that the NOTAM was in the other 3 pages for lga and when I looked at them and saw all of the same stuff; I just read too fast and went right past it. A more careful reading of the NOTAMS would have caught this before it became an issue. Also; if it wasn't on the ATIS; that would have been helpful also.
