Narrative:
On the ground at geu; I had gotten clearance from geu tower for takeoff from runway 1 to do closed pattern touch-and-goes. When cleared to enter onto the runway and takeoff; runway 1; without any precautionary statements nor further instructions; there were no other aircraft taking off ahead of me nor did I hear the tower communicating with any other aircraft. I took off climbing about 500 FPM at 79 KIAS; then turned downwind and noticed another similar aircraft lateral to me about 200 ft and 200 ft above. I was vigilant because I did not know his intentions. Then the tower informed me that there is an aircraft at 9 O'clock position. I acknowledged and I said that 'I have him in sight' and awaited further instructions from the tower. I also heard the tower notify the other aircraft of my presence and the pilot acknowledged. Then the tower said to me that 'I told you that you are #2 to land behind the cessna' who was beside me. I responded that I never heard any such communication. My passenger; a pilot; also said to me that he never heard any such instructions. We were both surprised to see that aircraft beside me. I then repeated the new instructions to the tower that I will slow down and land behind the indicated cessna. Then the tower told me to land ahead of the cessna; and I repeated that I would land ahead of the cessna. I heard on the radio the tower indicating to the other aircraft to land behind me. The other pilot responded that he will slow down and land behind me. I then proceeded to do my touch-and-go and do another pattern circuit. I radioed the tower midfield downwind and asked to do a full stop landing. The tower responded clear for touch-and-go. I then repeated that I am requesting a full stop. The tower then responded; 'clear for full stop.'

Title: SPORT ACFT LICENSED PLT EXPERIENCES NMAC IN PATTERN. BELIEVES LCL CTLR FAILED TO COMMUNICATE ADEQUATELY.
Narrative: ON THE GND AT GEU; I HAD GOTTEN CLRNC FROM GEU TWR FOR TKOF FROM RWY 1 TO DO CLOSED PATTERN TOUCH-AND-GOES. WHEN CLRED TO ENTER ONTO THE RWY AND TKOF; RWY 1; WITHOUT ANY PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS NOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS; THERE WERE NO OTHER ACFT TAKING OFF AHEAD OF ME NOR DID I HEAR THE TWR COMMUNICATING WITH ANY OTHER ACFT. I TOOK OFF CLBING ABOUT 500 FPM AT 79 KIAS; THEN TURNED DOWNWIND AND NOTICED ANOTHER SIMILAR ACFT LATERAL TO ME ABOUT 200 FT AND 200 FT ABOVE. I WAS VIGILANT BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW HIS INTENTIONS. THEN THE TWR INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS AN ACFT AT 9 O'CLOCK POS. I ACKNOWLEDGED AND I SAID THAT 'I HAVE HIM IN SIGHT' AND AWAITED FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE TWR. I ALSO HEARD THE TWR NOTIFY THE OTHER ACFT OF MY PRESENCE AND THE PLT ACKNOWLEDGED. THEN THE TWR SAID TO ME THAT 'I TOLD YOU THAT YOU ARE #2 TO LAND BEHIND THE CESSNA' WHO WAS BESIDE ME. I RESPONDED THAT I NEVER HEARD ANY SUCH COM. MY PAX; A PLT; ALSO SAID TO ME THAT HE NEVER HEARD ANY SUCH INSTRUCTIONS. WE WERE BOTH SURPRISED TO SEE THAT ACFT BESIDE ME. I THEN REPEATED THE NEW INSTRUCTIONS TO THE TWR THAT I WILL SLOW DOWN AND LAND BEHIND THE INDICATED CESSNA. THEN THE TWR TOLD ME TO LAND AHEAD OF THE CESSNA; AND I REPEATED THAT I WOULD LAND AHEAD OF THE CESSNA. I HEARD ON THE RADIO THE TWR INDICATING TO THE OTHER ACFT TO LAND BEHIND ME. THE OTHER PLT RESPONDED THAT HE WILL SLOW DOWN AND LAND BEHIND ME. I THEN PROCEEDED TO DO MY TOUCH-AND-GO AND DO ANOTHER PATTERN CIRCUIT. I RADIOED THE TWR MIDFIELD DOWNWIND AND ASKED TO DO A FULL STOP LNDG. THE TWR RESPONDED CLR FOR TOUCH-AND-GO. I THEN REPEATED THAT I AM REQUESTING A FULL STOP. THE TWR THEN RESPONDED; 'CLR FOR FULL STOP.'
