Following takeoff from ZZZ at 1;300 ft MSL; the right engine had a catastrophic failure. Emergency was declared. Qrf procedures were accomplished. Landed at ZZZ1. Arff inspected the aircraft on the runway. It was determined safe to taxi the aircraft to gate. Passengers were deplaned at the gate.
