Narrative:
First officer's takeoff at ZZZ. At rotation; right engine seized and all engine instruments went to zero. Declared an immediate emergency and diverted to ZZZ1 and set up for a visual approach to runway 31R at ZZZ1. Completed all emergency procedures that were applicable; then my first officer flew a visual approach to a very soft touchdown (135.6K). Rolled to the end and cleared the runway to have crash fire rescue equipment inspect the aircraft for damage or leakage and they cleared us with just some oil on the bottom of the engine. A mechanic informed us after taxiing to the gate that the aft section of the engine was gone and blown out the tail pipe.
